(CNN) – Former first lady Barbara Bush was admitted Saturday to a hospital in Texas for routine tests, “said a spokesman.
“Mrs. Bush is in routine examinations, it is an emergency of any kind,” said Jim Appleby, a spokesman for former President George HW Bush.
The former first lady was taken to Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He had not been feeling wellaround a week, said Jean Becker, chief of staff for the husband of Bush.
George W. Bush, 84, is expected to remain in hospital for a day or two, said Becker. The details of the tests were not immediately available.
Becker, chief of cabinet of former President George HW Bush, said his hospital is “not serious at all.”
Last year, Bush made open heart surgery in which doctors replace the aortic valve with a biological valve. He spent nine days in hospital afterwards.
His recent hospitalization is “unrelated” to the surgery, said Becker.
In November 2008, Bush underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer.

Denton Ryan beat McKinney 70-63 in within regulation (no overtime) for a total of 133 points on 9/11/09. That has to some kind of record in Texas if not nationally.
